LEARNING ALONGSIDE OTHERS

Group sessions

The club’s tuition information includes 11+ preparation groups and Year 6 SATs groups. Learning with others can create opportunities to share ideas and explain different approaches.

Ask which groups are currently running, how children are matched and whether a group would suit your child.

FROM FIRST STEPS TO YEAR 6

Strong foundations.
Growing independence.

These are examples of learning areas you can discuss when enquiring. The focus of tuition is agreed around your child.

EYFS & early learning

Talk about early reading, sounds, number understanding, communication and feeling comfortable trying something new.

Reception & early foundations

Key Stage 1

Discuss reading fluency, comprehension, spelling, writing and practical number skills, with room to revisit the building blocks.

Years 1 & 2

Key Stage 2

Discuss comprehension, vocabulary, writing, arithmetic and mathematical reasoning as learning becomes more independent.

Years 3–6

YEAR 6 SATs PREPARATION

Understanding first.
Confidence follows.

Both 1:1 SATs preparation and Year 6 group sessions feature in the club’s tuition information. Ask about support with reading, grammar, punctuation, spelling, arithmetic and mathematical reasoning.

For families, SATs and the 11+ serve different purposes. SATs assess primary curriculum learning; selective entrance tests form part of grammar school admissions.

Helpful areas to discuss

  • Which topics currently feel difficult?
  • Can your child explain their thinking?
  • Would practice with question wording help?
  • How can revision feel manageable?
  • What support is already in place at school?

THE LITTLE THINKERS’ WAY

A nurturing approach
to knowledge and self-belief.

See the individual

Every child brings different strengths, questions and experiences. Personalised tuition starts with recognising that individuality.

Make room to try

Encouraging learning gives children permission to ask questions, explore an idea and learn from a mistake.

Celebrate the effort

The club’s posts celebrate enthusiasm and dedication as well as test success. Enjoying the journey matters too.

Session location, delivery format, duration, fees, group size and current availability are confirmed directly by the tutor.
